Meet the Designer
Jason Michael Scott
Jason Michael Scott is a professional and passionate designer who takes pride in delivering that passion into every project within his practice. He received his degree in Interior Design from the acclaimed Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Los Angeles in 1996 — attending on a full scholarship after placing first out of over 1,000 applicants in their annual international design competition.
For the past 29 years, he has been involved in planning and designing interior settings for over 450 model homes and private residences. He has thrived in fast-paced design firms, managing multiple projects from concept to completion — working across numerous styles and budgets, leading to many successful, award-winning projects.
It was always his dream to open his own home furnishings store and continue design work. With the support of friends and family, he took a leap of faith — and in July of 2013, J. Michael Scott Interiors opened its doors on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
